Inspect your room for pests if you are traveling this Holiday. bedbugs are becoming common in many hotels. They travel well and are very adept at finding the smallest places on your luggage to travel to their next destination. Be aware, but don't panic.

Bogging thru email

I wish I understood technology just a little bit better.  All this new information running round has me running in circles.  I need a focus on what I shall blog and then I will get better.  I know it is close to the New Year.  So I guess this could be a preresolution?

Almost winter

Winter is a time for giving, but be careful of what you receive. Pests have been know to travel in luggage and that could lead to infestations down the road.

Fall

Mice are starting to enter homes. Keep dog food in sealed containers. If things get out of hand, then call in a pro.

Fall is in the Air

Fall is in the air and the insects have had an easy summer with the moisture and the moderate heat we had this summer. I have seen many differing types of infestations this year. It is time to prepare for the coming winter. Get the vegation cleared away from you house, keeps the trees trimmed off your roof and call your local Pest Pro to keep the insects out of your house this winter.

Localized infestations

If you have been seening certain critters around your area in numbers way higher than normal, then you probably are in the midst of a localized infestation. These usually last a few days and then are gone. vaccuuming is your best option, but if things get out of hand call in a pro.

Spring is in the air and Oriental roaches are invading basements. Keep your clutter to a minimum keep things clean, no piles by the house.

Spring in the Rocky Mountains. Dry some places and even drier in other places. If moisture comes soon, the pest season will explode. Sleep tight and don't let the bed bugs bite.

Passing of a good friend

Paul Harvey passed away. He was more than just a voice on the radio. He made the day go by better. He brought back memories of my grandfather who once was part of the "Rest of the Story." He will be missed.

bed bugs in the news

bed bugs are back in the news cycle. Just remember the best way to keep the bed bugs at bay is sanitation and a little preventative maintenance. Wash your bedding, vacuum your house and keep thing tidy. Basic pest management control, will help but will not prevent them. We don't usually treat the bedding when doing a routine pest treatment. Bed bugs are specific and we target them specifically.

Ahh Thursday, just two more days left in the week. The West is in a heat wave and the critters are coming out. Pueblo County health department put out a press release on bed bugs, now we have to get ready for the influx of calls.

Well I guess I lost, the bugs picked Pittsburg, great game to watch. On to work. Must keep the critters under control. Economic slow down or not, the insects don't care, they just keep on doing what bugs do.

Wondering which city the bugs like better. I think they would take Arizona for the win. Too cold for in Pittsburg.

I am just trying to figure out how to use this "new" technology, so bear with me. Pest Control guys like me do things the old fashioned way. We like to crawl into tight places and get dusty and dirty and get rid of bugs the right way.
Starting to think about our annual Pest Control Conference. Can't wait to see what is new to the industry and Colorado.
